The Vine Inn is sandwiched between Braintree itself and the village of Black Notley. For those coming from Braintree, it's only about 1km south of the town, so it's very easy to reach, and we suggest leaving the car in Braintree and walking the dog down towards this lovely pub if you're planning on going there. This is a classic British pub, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. It's set within a 200 year old building, lending it a sense of history. The food consists of some classic pub fare, including steaks and burgers, all cooked up by head chef Liam using fresh ingredients. There's a good range of beers and ales on offer too. Well worth visiting on a Sunday too when they have a cracking roast on offer.
