Based on the south east edge of Braintree (edging into Cressing), and situated just before you leave the town. This makes it excellent for those ambling out for a countryside walk with the dog, and a perfect place to stop off beforehand or for a just reward afterwards. This beautiful building is over 500 years old, and seeped in history. It's part of the Vintage Inns family of pubs, which means it may be familiar to people who've visited their other venues. It's got a fantastic (and fairly large) beer garden, making it a wonderful place to stop off in the summer months. When you're sat inside, you're greeted to the splendour of ancient wood frames and a bar that looks like a blast from the past. There's also a dog menu on offer, packed with delicious dog friendly treats and even dog beer!
