Based a couple of miles east of York in the scenic countryside surrounding the city, The Balloon Tree is a farm shop and cafe selling local produce. It provides produce from its own farm, focusing on seasonal goodies all year round. The same goes for the menu in the cafe, which changes constantly as the seasons bring new fresh produce to the fore. The food is all award-winning stuff, and the menu is exciting and varied. There's something for everyone, from light bites like sandwiches and toasties, to great platters bringing with stuff to share with your friends and family. It's a great place to pop after a long dog walk.
