My girlfriend and I visited Beet Bar a few times since it first opened and have mostly enjoyed the food and ambience. However our last visit was awful – my smoothie was full of hard pieces of what I can only assume was coconut shell and my partners was acidic and sour. Even worse was the attitude of the young lady (sullen, scruffy, pink hair) serving – I get that she appeared to be alone there but there’s no excuse for taciturn ignorance, nor for looking – and unfortunately smelling – so dirty. I saw this lovely person later that day, dead drunk and throwing what looked like beer cans at passers by – including me. she at least had the grace to look embarrassed when we made eye contact. We won’t be returning to beet bar when she’s on duty! Shame; we liked it there!
