A superb drinking spot in central Tunbridge Wells, based at the top of Mount Ephraim. This is a quaint and quiet pub despite its central location. First opening in the late 1800s, it has over a century to its history. Today, it's a great place to try a few of the local ales, such as Sussex's award-winning Harvey's ales or the Shepherd Neame Kentish ales. There are plenty of pub food classics available day-in, day-out on the menu, and all of that is capped off by a cracking Sunday roast at the end of the week too. Well worth popping down in the winter months to enjoy the drama of the roaring fireside too.
