Bring The Pooch's verdict

You can't go wrong with The Swan Inn. A quaint, country-style pub in the middle of Lewes. They have a lovely and friendly atmosphere, and all the usual trappings a good pub such as great roasts every Sunday, weekly pub quizzes to enjoy, and greats ales on draught, including Lewes locals Harvey's (who are known for award winning ales). They have a nice beer garden for the sunnier days, and also have parking so the pub is easily accessible. Another one to visit with your dog after a romp around the countryside surrounding Lewes.

my favourite pub in Lewes. It has a great roast every sunday, and we always stop here after a long walk with the dogs on the South Downs.
