Are dogs allowed on Fistral Beach?

Fistral beach is one of the most famous beaches in the whole of Newquay. Newquay’s a town we’re huge fans of for its massive array of dog friendly businesses, and in amongst fuelling yourself with coffee and enjoying the local ales, you’ll definitely want to check out a dog friendly beach or two.

Taking a dog to Fistral Beach

Here’s the good news – Fistral Beach is dog friendly! What’s more, unlike plenty of the beaches around the UK, it’s dog friendly all year round. That means whether you’re visiting Newquay for a summer vacation or a winter getaway, you and the dogs are always welcome on Fistral Beach.

Dog friendly cafes on Fistral Beach

There are also a couple of great dog friendly pit stops when you’re on Fistral Beach, meaning you can grab a cup of coffee before the walk or perhaps a nice fry up afterwards. Here are our recommendations…

Sea Spray

Serving up amazing breakfasts from a hearty Full English through to vegan class, avocado on toast. Sea Spray wears its dog friendly nature on its sleeve, proudly proclaiming that it’s dog friendly at the top of its website and all over social media. You’re sure to be welcome here with your pooch, and is our favourite place to grab a morning caffeine hit before wandering Fistral.

The Stable

The Stable are a bit of a South Westerly institution, and are experts in two things: cider and pizza. To us, the perfect way to wrap up a seafront walk is with some good ol’ Italian dough and a pint of Cornish cider. The Stable delivers on all fronts, and to top it off you can sit and enjoy your grub with beautiful views of Fistral Beach.

Let us know how you and your dog get on at Fistral Beach. And when you’re done, don’t hesitate to use our guide to help you explore the rest of the beautiful Cornish town of Newquay. Have fun!
